Popunder

Popunder is advertising for which you do not need to make creatives, as the user immediately goes to the landing page.

This format does not annoy the user, does not prevent viewing the content, and leads to a more loyal audience than its more aggressive predecessor - popup.

Popunder appears behind the work tab and unobtrusively waits for the person to finish working and pay attention to it.

How does it work?

Popunder is run by a particular script embedded in the site code. The user only has to click on any part of the website, so the advertising with the offer appears under the working tab.

Who does this format suit?

Choose a popunder if you are working with an offer without strict KPIs and need a lot of inexpensive traffic. This format is ideal for a quick start. An effective landing page is enough to collect leads with the help of the popunder.

Available with CPM and Smart CPM payment models.

Pros:

  • do not spoil the design of the page, and do not block content;

  • generate huge volumes of traffic;

  • reach a vast live audience, excluding click frauds;

  • the user is guaranteed to get to the advertiser's website;

  • have a relatively low cost;

  • do not require the making of creatives;

  • are shown to one unique user once a day, which allows for saving the advertising budget;

  • the format is adapted to different devices;

  • compatible with other formats;

  • popunder does not cause "banner blindness";

  • can be used for ready-made landings from the Evadav affiliate network;

  • are suitable for quick campaign launch.

Cons:

  • search engines can rank down the websites with the popunder script in organic SERP;

  • the target page can be closed with the browser window and not viewed;

  • not suitable for offers designed for a narrow audience;

  • sensitive to browser updates and extensions that block pop-ups;

  • advertising appears delicately, but still without the user's consent. There is a chance to get negative from users.

Evadav tip:

When working with the popunder format, use trackers to get detailed statistics on campaign results and disable unprofitable sources. This advertising works most effectively with pre-landers that "warm up" the audience and weed out non-target traffic.
