Popunder is an advertising format that replaces aggressive advertising. Integrated into the website code, the popunder script automatically runs a landing page for each visitor. But unlike the pop-up, the target page does not block content and does not irritate, as it appears under the working tab.

How to monetize a website with popunder ads?

Enter the campaign name in the "Name" field and the URL of the monetized site - in the "Domain" field.

Select website’s category:

  • Mainstream — for platforms with any content except for dating services and non-mainstream topics.

In "Pop open type," you can choose how to open a window with landing:

  • in the new tab to the right of the current, that is, blocking it;

  • in the new tab to the left of the current, that is, below it;

  • in a new window over the working page;

  • redirection to landing page instead of the current tab.

We recommend selecting the type of popunder opening — to the right of the current tab (New Tab Replace) so as not to annoy the user.

Pick Skim Link items in the selector — to start the popunder at a specific area.

Evadav tip:

For correct popunder operation, we recommend inserting the script in the <body> container below the page elements to which the Skim link is connected.

In the "Frequency capping" field, set the display frequency and the time between the displays ("Period"). Select the hours or minutes in the "Time unit" field to specify the interval.

Evadav tip:

Limit the display frequency if you think the audience will not be loyal to advertising. In any case, running the popunder more than 10 times per unique user is not advisable.

In the "Click-to-trigger conditions" box, select the interval in minutes or seconds, after which the popunder will be re-triggered by clicking on the website.

Click "Create" when everything is ready.
