Create an Offer
An offer is an advertising link that can be received from an affiliate network or direct advertiser.
When promoting offers the commission is paid for each successful action - registration, sale, lead, download, etc.
The offer link is the end point of the ad campaign which you set in BeMob.
Name. Here you should name your offer.
URL. Here you should add a {clickid} token to mark transitions and conversions within the BeMob tracker.
All other fields like Payout settings and Daily cap are optional. Also, here you can copy Postback URL for conversions from your Affiliate network if you are using one.
Add a Traffic Source (EvaDav) From the Template
In a template all the required fields are configured: you just need to select EvaDav from the list and click on Save for further campaign settings:
As you can see on the screenshot with parameters, BeMob’s {externalid} is the corresponding token for EvaDav’s {CLICKID}.
Create Campaign
A campaign is an element in BeMob which unites other elements such as offers, traffic sources, affiliate networks, landing pages and flows. Some of these elements are optional so you can skip them while creating a campaign.
Campaign creation is the final step of the settings on the side of the tracker.
After your campaign is set up, BeMob generates the final campaign link which should be placed on the side of the traffic source.
The campaign link is required to accept all the incoming traffic, perform the redirect to the corresponding offer or landing page, distribute traffic according to the conditions, and gather the statistical data for reports.
Traffic source. First of all, you should select a traffic source (EvaDav) that you have created earlier from a template:
Destination:
Direct URL
This type can be selected when you forward traffic straight to your website.
Direct URL requires no pre-configured elements. It is the quickest way to set up a campaign.
It is required to use the {clickId} if you want to track conversions:
Tracking domain. Tracking domain should be set up beforehand in Domains settings.
The domain should be externally purchased and connected with the default BeMob tracking domain. Please find more info on setting up domains in BeMob in tracker’s documentation.
Default tracking domains (bemobtrk.com, bemobtrcks.com, bemobtracks.com) are recommended for postback URLs between BeMob and your affiliate networks and testing campaigns.
Please note: Direct URL option is often used when a traffic source does not support redirect tracking with third-party domains so the tracking domain and offer page must be on the same domain.
For example: If the offer page with conversion pixel installed is https://testoffer.com/thank_you?clickid={clickId} then the tracking domain and Target URL at EvaDav should look something like https://track.testoffer.com?...
EvaDav supports redirect tracking with separate domains so you can use affiliate smart links and route traffic as you wish.
Redirect
The example on the screenshot shows that visitors will go straight to the offer page through BeMob’s regular tracking domain for testing and postbacks.
Built-In Flow can be selected if you wish to create a campaign funnel with 1 - 5 paths or conditions right away.
Flow - same option but for choosing pre-set Flows which are usually more complicated and take time to be set from scratch so it is better to create and save it at https://panel.bemob.com/app/report/flows/
Redirect mode
302 - the fastest redirect mode. The referrer data will not be hidden.
Meta - will hide traffic source data from the affiliate network. The referrer will be sent as a Click URL.
Double Meta - will hide traffic source and landing page data from the affiliate network. A referrer will be equal to a cloaking domain you will select.
Campaign Links
After Campaign is created BeMob will provide you with all the needed links:
Campaign URL - campaign link which should be pasted in EvaDav’s campaign Target URL here:
As you can see all the main tokens are already set. More info on each token in your EvaDav dashboard at https://evadav.com/advertiser/tracking
Postback URL - this link is used in the Affiliate network, which will send the click id of the conversion to BeMob and BeMob will send it to EvaDav.
Postback pixel - usually used on the so-called Thank You page, where the user gets after conversions like a deposit or sale is made. Pixel sends the data on conversion to BeMob and BeMob sends it to EvaDav.
Should be placed inside <body> or <head> of the page
This tracking mechanism is cookie-based. When using it, BeMob click ID is stored in the cookie which is sent for each campaign visit. However, the Postback/Conversion Pixel is not a completely reliable method of tracking. When third-party cookies in the user’s browser are disabled, conversions will not be tracked and that is why it is more suitable to use custom domains for tracking if you are using direct offers with your own domains. This will allow you to record first-party cookies. First-party cookies are supported by all browsers and can be blocked or deleted by the user. Third-party cookies are supported by all browsers, but many are blocking the creation of third-party cookies by default. Users are also taking matters into their own hands and deleting third-party cookies on their own.
Postback script - regular js script for tracking conversions. Works the same as the Postback pixel.
